Lieutenant George MacDonald Dick

Died: May 29, 1917

Lieut. G. M. Dick was at U.C.C. in 1914 ; he took his commission at the age of 17 ; he was the grandson of the late Col. G. Macdonald, who came to Canada as Aide-de-Camp to Lord Napier, and the great-grandson of Gen. G. Macdonald, of Waterloo fame. Lieut. Dick went overseas in June, 19 16, with the 84th Battalion ; he afterwards transferred to the Royal Flying Corps. He was killed on May 29th in a fight with overwhelming odds against several German planes.
