Gunner Lawrence Walter Hogg ’10

Died: August 8, 1918

Gunner L. W. Hogg, only son of Mrs. G. H. Hogg, of Picton, Ontario, was at U.C.C. from 1908-1910. He was killed in action on the Western front on August 8th, 1918; he trained at Kingston and Petawawa, going overseas in 1917; he was drafted with the 5th Army Brigade and had been in France since Christmas 1917; the last letter received by his parents, July 14th, advised that he had just left hospital after an attack of influenza. He was in his 26th year.
